Review of The Long Good Friday (1980) by Steen T — 09 Nov 2007
A gangster boss (Bob Hoskins) suddenly find himself and his family the target of what he suspects is a rival gang. Meanwhile he's trying to woo some American gangsters into making a huge investment in his business.
Gritty and realistic, carried by the energetic performance by Hoskins, who constantly seems ready to explode into violence. Highly recommended.
