Review of The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog (1927) by Joel H — 19 Aug 2018
Alfred Hitchcock made a few movies before The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog, but this one feels like the first true Hitchcock film. It features mystery, suspense and plenty of murder. I also thought I had the movie figured out, only to be surprised in the end.
It's not as polished as his later work, but it's fun to see Hitchcock's progression as a filmmaker.
