Just saw it This movie may have a humorous premise but in my view the movies is about cruelty Who will remember a funny line from a movie filled with misery and gratuitous savagery. All the Comedy Central standups couldn't jovialize a scene where a nice pet dog's body is found lying a in pool of blood and guts. But, in all fairness, the nearly robotic (think dog on dog) sex scenes may be remembered simply because they are sex scenes,.
The cruelty is not novel to the plot. Cold, viscous, amoral characters are a dime a dozen in the movies. Come to think of it, a live lobster being boiled to death is a decent metaphor for this movie.
