Review of The Little Prince (2015) by Duncan P — 20 May 2016
A rather stunningly animated (though perhaps slightly too lean) adaptation of a rather bizarre fable, wrapped in a framing story that, while providing an interesting modern interpretation (including some post-industrial horrors), isn't quite as strong as the fable itself, and undermines it a little in some ways by trying a bit too hard to hammer the message home by repeating the particular interpretation quite outright bluntly in said post-industrial sequence.
Still, it adds up to an overall solid film, and the stop motion work is worth the price of admission by itself.
