Review of The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane (1976) by David Ray G — 07 Aug 2009
One word: brilliant. I loved every single second of it. Jodie Foster surely knew how to pick up excellent movies when she was a child (unlike now), Martin Sheen is fantastic in the role of the twisted pedophile, and the chemistry between the two is jumping off the screen.
I literally didn't want this film to end; I didn't want to know the ending and spent my time savoring each scene. The psychology, the loneliness, the empathy you feel...all so magically delivered.
Wonderful film.
