Review of The Limits of Control (2009) by Forrest K — 25 Dec 2009
The style of Hitchcock and the surrealism of Lynch are married in this hypnotic film that sadly lacks any sort of substance. Jarmusch seems to be floating on "look how fucking cool this is" here, and indeed, the stunningly beautiful cinematography is almost reason enough to sit through this aimless, pointless snoozer.
Just a meta jumble, minus any sort of fun or meaning.
