Review of The Limits of Control (2009) by Mike B — 08 Sep 2012
Quite slowly, this odd film crawls along with little guidance or dialogue, dropping clues and hints as it goes. Unfortunately, it develops boredom and a longing for action, rather than suspense. I made it through, and as the consensus states, gained little.
The leads and better-known cast members do their best, but they have little to work with. Jarmusch does create some striking visuals, but that is about it. With all of that said, I am sure there will be some who love this strange experience.
