Review of Exterminator 2 (1984) by Senor C — 08 Jan 2011
The sleaze factor from the original Exterminator is sorely missing from its sequel. Actually there's a lot of things missing like @ least one stand out scene, a good score & director James Glickenhaus @ the helm.
Now Im a big fan of the vigilante formula but I found hardly any entertainment value in this. Well maybe a little. If Robert Ginty has stuck to torching his victims maybe but it has terrible pacing & no real good action set pieces.
In fact the best thing about is the box art. Mario Van Peebles is gay w/ his urban Kid & Play hair do & makes for a weak adversary except for when he was putting on his blood rouge blush. If you want something w/ this formula watch any of the Death Wish sequels (yes even part 5) or the great Vigilante w/ Fred Williamson.
