This was a beautiful movie on so many accounts. Easily in my top 10-which is a forty year old list. This is a perfect example of how, when critic's reviews are low today, the movie is often incredibly good. Why? Because critics nowadays love to rate high the violent, lustful, politically correct trash that passes for "art".
Fortunately, this movie sails high above their standards.
