I wish I could give this a higher rating. I want to so bad like this because I LOVED the book. It just left out too many important scenes from the book out of the movie and didn't grip me the way the book had.
Yes they were able to capture for the most part what Australia and Janis Island is like but the lack of character development and missing scenes that were very big cornerstones of the book left me sad about the outcome of the movie.
Read the book if you have a chance you won't regret it.
