Review of The Life of Emile Zola (1937) by Aniko V — 13 Jan 2010
Its a surprisingly powerful film by today's standards, proving that an individual may be a genius, but a mob is always dumb. the performances are vivid, ahead of their time. I have no idea who emile zola is, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
the title though? 'the LIFE of emile zola?' more like 'that one time that just happened to somewhat be about emile zola.'.
