Review of The Life of Emile Zola (1937) by Nate W — 07 Aug 2010
Paul Muni is dynamite in what is probably the first great courtroom drama of cinema. The director overdoes it a bit in pointing out Zola's complacency and descent into lavishness. A good message film with only a little imbalance.
