Review of The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines (2006) by Dennis V — 19 Aug 2008
An improvement on the first one and thus rather good. Noah Wyle is fun as the librarian but Gabrielle Anwar should better steer clear of comical roles in the future. Her timing was way off on more than one occasion effectively ruining what might have been a very funny scene.
Also, it seems weird that on the apparently limited budget at their disposal, the team behind this chose to have a CGI-heavy finale. The poor effects resulting from this kind of spoil an otherwise more than decent movie.
The director did a good job with an above average script which makes one look forward to the next Librarian outing.
