Talk about a disappointing sequel, even for a made-for-TV franchise. The plot spoiled itself, the action was nonsense, the romantic interest was a fussy twig, and the CGI would've been horrible in a 1990 PC game.
However, Noah Wyle and Bob Newhart were consistent, and the outdoor sets looked great, so the movie wasn't a COMPLETE disaster.
