Review of The Leopard (1963) by Peter K — 16 Dec 2007
Visconti's magnificient film based on Count di Lampedusa's first and only novel. A true masterpiece. The film (and novel) is built up on many layers. It is one of the best studies on the nature of changes.
One quote from the film says it all: "If we want things to stay as they are, things will have to change.".
