Review of The Leopard (1963) by Jens T — 14 Mar 2011
"The Leopard" is an italian masterpiece from master Luchino Visconti, an incredibly human epic about changes, decadence and mortality. There is no words to describe how rich, insightful and moving this movie is.
Stylish work by Visconti is a delight for the eyes and minds. Burt Lancaster delivers his career performance as an aristocrat that observes the world around him changing without a place for himself, confronts his inevitable social and physical death.
A timeless piece of unique beauty.
