You should go into this fully aware that it won't top the first, which I did. And I can say that this movie is insanely entertaining, but not as heartwarming with it's message as the first. The message is still good, but I don't feel it will resonate with as many people as the first's did.
The animation is still fantastic and the jokes consistently land and they're all very meta and self aware. Overall, while this won't blow anyone away it doesn't really try to so it technically gets a pass.
It's competently made and very funny.
