The Summer's biggest must not see. There is just enough effort put into developing characters to move the movie along into the next joyless set piece. Christoph Waltz, Margot Robbie, and Samuel L. Jackson do their absolute best, but there simply isn't enough time invested into their character for them to feel like anything more than plot devices.

A heartless reboot forced into creation without passion for the project, story, or message, and just feels like a half-assed effort to make money. Not even the "gorgeous" animated apes only look good occasionally.

All in all, please don't make the mistake of spending money on this movie, it's a waste of money and sends the message that this lack of effort is acceptable in cinema.
