Hollow. That is the best way I can describe this movie. You have well-known source material about a man who was raised in the jungle by gorillas, the director of Harry Potter, and a cast that includes the likes of Sam L.

Jackson, Christoph Waltz, and Margot Robbie, yet I was so bored during this movie. I feel comfortable saying that it sucked. I didn't care about any of the characters, except for Sam Jackson's character only cause he is a charismatic guy.

I didn't care about the non-focused plotline or have any investment in the action scenes. When I see Tarzan swinging from vine to vine in the jungle, I want to feel excitement or urgency, not utter boredom.

I really feel like I am rambling now, only because everything in this movie was just wrong. The visual effects were really subpar for a film of this scope and the chemistry between Alex Skarsgard's Tarzan or John Clayton and Margot Robbie's Jane simply didn't exist.

Sure, have them kiss with epic romantic music, I still have no feelings or connection with either of them. The longer I am writing this review, the more I am trying to forget about this movie. I'm wishing I would have watched the 1999 Disney version instead.

Or even one of the new Planet of the Apes films. At least in those two films, I care about the apes/gorillas. Here, I don't care about anything or anyone. Just a bad movie.
