Review of The Legend of Tarzan (2016) by Axelskull — 28 Jul 2016
Wasn't really expecting much but I gotta say hands down the best live-action Tarzan film.
Pros.
-The actors are perfect for their roles.
-The action was surprisingly good but I wish there was more.
-Tarzan swinging through the forest wasWasn't really expecting much but I gotta say hands down the best live-action Tarzan film.
Pros.
-The actors are perfect for their roles.

-Tarzan swinging through the forest was particularly awesome but once again there wasn't much of it. (he didn't even slide on branches/logs, but atleast he did do the yell a couple times.).
Cons.
-The whole overarching plot of the movie seems a bit forced but it''s passable.
-A bit too romancey ( Very slow flashbacks that could've been done in less time or don't really add much but just kill the momentum of the film).
-Felt like they were torn between playing to an audience of people who know who Tarzan is supposed to be and an audience that's never heard a thing about Tarzan. Mainly felt like they were playing to people who knew who Tarzan was (especially the beginning part with Samuel L Jackson) but backtracked and tossed in some backstory wherever they could.
