Review of The League of Gentlemen's Apocalypse (2005) by David S — 25 Nov 2009
Very twisted and funny. And an excellent expansion to a great TV show. You cannot deny the imagination on display, especially with the concept of the league going to our world and meeting their creators.
It also brings out pathos in the characters as they all have burdens to bare which present some interesting and deep themes such as free will. The league are all such good actors and play each different part perfectly.
Its unfortunate, that cos this is a comedy they will never get highly rated. Although there is one disapointing thing, Tubbs, Edward and Papa Lazarou only have cameo roles.
