Review of The Last Winter (2006) by Alison P — 01 Jun 2008
Such a good idea and soooooo much potential that it didn't take advantage of. there was a couple of really creepy parts, but that was about it. on the box it says "SCARIEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR" from the LA Times or something reputable sounding, but for me that was false.
It took like 40 minutes before any moderately creepy things happened. i'm thinking that what people thought was scary was the global warming aspect and they were liberals. I was willing to overlook that jazz in light of the excellent potential, but it wasn't delivered.
Well-shot, good acting, bad result. sad times, I had high hopes.
