Review of The Last Winter (2006) by Greg T — 29 Dec 2008
Fesseneden is fast becoming the James Lovelock of horror movies but he fumbles his eco-message big time with this painstakingly slow, mostly dull ice-bound metaphor which recycles his "Wendigo" imagery but has little of that film's chills.
Any horror set in an Arctic research station has a tough task following "The Thing", and "Last Winter"'s flaws are all the more apparent in comparison.
