Review of The Last Winter (2006) by Jacob P — 27 Aug 2011
As ecohorror goes, this one is a bit like Peter Weir's THE LAST WAVE. It would be nice to think of the earth unleashing itself against the infection of humankind, but unfortunately what we get is some creepy weather and some Disney Haunted House Ride holograms of caribou.
Not completely uninteresting, just a bit heavy handed and relying on too many of the tired cliches of trapped on the ice horror stories. The end is a bit, eh, especially what should have been the last stand in the snow with Perlman and LeGros.
That was super disappointing and had the potential to twist the story.
