Review of The Last Winter (2006) by Miss.gory R — 13 Apr 2009
Well, when you see Crows in the heart of Alaska...you know somethins up. Ron Perlman, the great actor that he is, plays a minion to the worst sin, Greed. Partnered up with a few Environmental agents who just cannot explain , no matter how hard they try, that there is seriously something wrong, Yes...Alaska is melting, and iys raining, and iys so warm that they cannot even make ice...
Of course, theres a message along with the mysterious box which was left and hidden for many years, that apparently, opens up a very valuable oil line, but in fact? Iy is some type of hidden agenda with the government, (surprise!). The cabin fever, the absolute atmos of being stuck in a dying land, and not being able to trust anyone, makes for a plot which only made me wonder just what I would do, if I knew what was happenning.
Quite Frightening, and great use of the effects, brings about a message that Yes, in the name of Oil, we are forgetting about our Earth, and you have yo wonder if this war is anything but a distraction to the real 'energy' crisis.
Gorewhore Out.
