Review of The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) by Sebas C — 07 Jul 2012
This is a film that goes beyond all bounds of being Christian. Although not a true story, the kernel of truth is there, especially the part where Saul spreads the myth of Christ exaggerating all the details (when Christ is living the life of man).
Basically making known their true intentions by appealing to the sense of responsibility for the world even if it means sacrificing the truth. What makes us think that for the Christian, the truth may not be the means, but the purpose of establishing and all consequences of this simple action in the future of a society built on the foundations of a "necessary lie.
" - Saul, "You see, you do not know how much people need God. You do not know how happy He Can Make Them. He Can Make Them happy to do anything. Make Them happy to die, and they'll die, all for the sake of Christ.
Jesus Christ. Jesus of Nazareth. God. The Son Of The Messiah. Not you. Not for your sake. you know, I'm glad I met you. Because now I can forget all about you. My Jesus is much more important and much more powerful.
