One requires unbelievable patience to sit through and understand this epic effort from Scorsese. Throughout the film, it makes you feel that the entire stuff is pointless and I never understood the reason for which the film is made until it gives you a last 30 minutes of confusing drama where the last temptation is revealed. Filled with exceptional background score, fine cinematography and good performances from actors William Dafoe and Harvey Keitel. The film is as confused as the Jesus in it, so reluctant and introverted and it's a story of self discovery.
