I do not want to be cocky. But for somebody who know is familiar slightly with Persian literature, including Attar, Mowlavi (Rumi, Balkhi), and Shams, the message of the movie, "The last temptation of Christ", is very familiar.
What makes the movie special is the way Christ is depicted, as an ordinary man who develops over the time. Here is the art of cinema that helps you to comprehend a prophet, as somebody you know, not somebody who was suddenly came into existence in and unavailable spot on the mount .. .
