Review of The Last Station (2009) by Brendan A — 23 May 2010
Interesting drama about the last days of writer Leo Tolstoy (Christopher Plummer- in an excellent performance) and the battle for his literary estate between his wife (Helen Mirren) and sleazy agent Vladimir Chertkova (Paul Giamatti) and his new secretary (James McAvoy) caught in the crossfire.
Leisurely paced, but it managed to hold my attention throughout.
