One more astonishing performance by Helen Mirren, encouraged by the overall theatrical feeling of the movie itself. Weak points are the superficiality of most other characters apart from Mirren's one and the failure to bring more forward the fierce struggle among rivals dominating in Tolstoy's latest days.
