Review of The Last Sin Eater (2007) by Melanie D — 13 Jan 2008
This was so beautiful. So good. I mean, there's so much I could say about it, but most of my feelings were covered by other reviews. I mean...some of the acting was incredible (some was just alright), of course the scenery was gorgeous (I'm so proud to say I live in the Smokies-foothills and it really is that beautiful when you get away from all the houses and COMMERCIAL life), and most importantly, the story itself is remarkable.
I AM a Christian, so knowing this Truth already, and how it IS real no matter how much many want to deny it, I was deeply touched and moved by this. There really are people who don't even know ABOUT Jesus and his saving grace and how we can NEVER pay for our sins or have them taken away ANY other way.
They were already paid for long long ago, and all we're required to do is repent. This movie made me cry so many different times...it was beautiful. And also tragic at times. The whole thing regarding the Indians had me in sobs.
Anyway...like I already stated, I could go on and on, so I'll finally stop now. LOVE this film. Definitely adding to my beloved movie collection (hey, it's tough to make that cut).
