Review of The Last King of Scotland (2006) by Richard L — 18 Oct 2009
Forest Whitaker provides one of the best performances in recent memory with his portrayal of evil Idi Amin, which deserved won him, amongst other awards, the Best Actor Oscar... Equally as good in the supporting performance is James McAvoy, who became a household name shortly after this film's release.
Kevin MacDonald's direction keeps you gripped throughout. Certainly one of the best British pictures of the past decade.
