Review of The Last Heist (2016) by David S — 09 Oct 2016
The Last Heist, what can I say? Trying to mix horror with action doesn't really work often. Then to try to throw in a bit of comedy? This movie was just all over the place. Extremely poor acting, a senseless plot, an open-ended ending just in case they want to give us more Henry Rollins preaching about the eyes before extracting them? I could do without.
So, it's a bank heist flick, that we later find out is really a drug cartel money movie, where the robbers are actually good guys robbing from the cartel. Then, for whatever reason, every once in a while Henry Rollins shows up to kill and take people's eyes.
The good guys, the bad guys, the hundred year old lady, it didn't matter. And bang bang shoot em up between robbers/cops/cartel disguised as SWAT's higher-ups, protagonist wins, including defeating creepazoid Rollins.
Oh wait, no, Rollins is okay, kills the nice guy that we rooted for, takes his eyes, his bag full of other's eyeballs, and the bag of drug money. Walks off into the sunset. Credits roll. My eyes roll, too.
Pretty idiotic movie.
