Review of The Last Broadcast (1998) by Tristan G — 10 Oct 2007
Pretty neat. I enjoyed it.
I felt this film was pretty cool. It's pretty much an account of the footage left behind by a small group of telecast people who are doing a story on FACT OR FICTION about the Jersey Devil. Only one of them got out alive. I'd recommend it to diehard fans of independent cinema and fans of documentaries. Only major problem. While I personally didn't mind it and totally understood what the filmmakers were going for with this film, the ending is going to make almost everyone hate it. I thought the ending was neat because it was so out of nowhere and was so bizarre and really seemed pretty meaningful, a lot of people who will see this will not be able to stand such a cop out kind of ending. It isn't a very imaginative end, and it certainly is pretty unfair to the audience that it ended the way it does just as they're getting into it, but I don't really mind it. check it out if you think you can handle a depressing and discouraging ending.
