Review of The Lady Vanishes (1938) by Chris K — 18 Jan 2011
Best Hitchcock film, period. I don't like technicolor Hitchcock, nor even psycho (sorry Hitch fans) but after watching 39 Steps I saw the genius. then I saw this and was even more impressed. The story is compelling, the dialogue is charming, the characters are dynamic, and the cinematography is sharp.
One of the best films of all time. Properly good.
