Review of The Lady Vanishes (1938) by Indira S — 02 Dec 2012
A fun little spy film with a great cast to boot. Lukas is great as a villain and Dame Witty captivates as well. Lockwood and Redgrave are a sweet couple filled with humor and chemistry. There were many subtle cultural references that poked fun at all the odd stereotypes.
The skeptical English cricket lovers, the mannerless loose Swiss girls and the brave Americans who do not care what people think of them. I also enjoyed the odd musical tune they had to know to give to the foreign office.
I only wish I knew what it meant.
