Review of Shadow of a Doubt (1943) by James H — 27 Jun 2011
To a starving man, anything tastes fantastic. This movie sated information starved generations. In two hours nothing much happens. It pales in comparison to even the most boring movies of the modern era.
Any positive review needs to be qualified with "for the time", doing otherwise is like talking about how Sony Walkman is an incredible portable music player or something. Irrespective of how good it was, how ahead of its time it was, today it's appallingly bad.
Just like this movie.
