Review of The Lady Eve (1941) by Irvin C — 27 Sep 2007
They don't make movies like these anymore, that's for sure. This is a sweet, hilarious screwball comedy that's pretty Preston Sturges's specialty and Stanwyck and Fonda are both outstanding in their roles as a con artist and naive millionaire son respectively.
It's a great film.
