Review of The Lady (2011) by Peter B — 23 Aug 2013
One of the best films I have seen since forever. A story of the courage, struggle and love and devotion and passion for family country and what Aung San Suu Kyi believes in.
The amount of hardship that she went through would be unimaginable.
The two leading roles really did justice to the wife and husband they were portraying.
It is sad when we let hate and power rule us over common human basic rights to live our lives.
It is sad that we still are having these struggles and divisions happen today.
Why can we not just let each other be in peace and be content with our share.
This reminds me of the power passion and drive of another women worth mentioning Tahireh she was a heroin for Baha'i women back in the day. It takes a person with special stature and wisdom to go forth for the greater good and both these women have it 10 fold and more.
You have to watch this film. Open up your hearts and let not ignorance defeat you. Whats this film.
Not suitable for the kiddies.
