Review of The Kite Runner (2007) by Mahmoud A — 10 Mar 2012

To keep a long story short: if you have read the book, this film will disappoint you. It fails to convey the sprawling saga that is the book. It doesn't give you any insight of the history or the geography of Afghanistan and it doesn't develop the characters enough to make you care for them.

I think that its problem is that it is too short and the story does not get a chance to breathe.
