Review of The Kite Runner (2007) by Scotty D — 29 Apr 2014
READ THE BOOK. I beg of you. As a film adaptation, The Kite Runner rushes from one moment to the next, hazily glossing over details, speeding to get you to the end. Significant, touching scenes and bland scenes alike are steamrolled into being of equal importance. There is no such thing as emotion in this so-called "drama.".
Though I do respect the closeness to the book, there is a certain charm that is lost. I can't wait for someone else to take a crack at it.
