Review of The King's Speech (2010) by Peter H — 16 Sep 2012
One of the best films I've seen in ages. A simple story, simply told. No sub-plot, no violence, no sex, no Americans in the lead roles. But what a tale of triumph over a condition produced by a dominant father and brother.
His Majesty's ability to control his stammerat that moment when we were to stand along against Hitler for some time, gave Britain the King and icon it needed.
