Review of The King and I (1956) by Alden S — 15 Jun 2016
My second favorite Rodgers and Hammerstein musical film only behind The Sound of Music. It's a lovely story with charming songs. Yul Brynner and Deborah Kerr are perfectly cast, especially Brynner whose distinctive performance rightfully earned him an Oscar.
(First and only full viewing - In my mid-twenties).
