Review of The Killing Fields (1984) by Emily F — 17 Jun 2007
I am not a big fan of bloody war movies, but this one was remarkably good and classic. Putting that the movie reminds of the ongoing crisis in Cambodia aside, the film is well-directed and well-acted under very distracting circumstances. The ending was cliche but give them a break, it was made in 1984. Haing Ngor was practically the main actor of this film but ended up winning 'best supporting actor' in Oscar. What a joke.
It's interesting to see rookie John Malkovich in this film.
