Review of The Karate Kid (2010) by Dinna S — 08 Dec 2011
A decent remake of the 1984 movie, a minor classic underdog film. This one benefits from Jackie Chan's against the type role (never seen him in such a somber role) and Jaden Smith's considerable charisma (inherited from his parents no doubt, and time will tell if he can come out of the shadows and make it on his own).
Decent action and training montage make for a pleasant viewing on a lazy evening. Will check out the sequel when that comes out!
