Review of The Karate Kid (2010) by Geraldo G — 25 May 2012
This new "Kung Fu Kid" is actually a very good put-togheter film, it gives justice to the first movie and also have winnings of its own. Jaden Smith perfectly performs a kid that has literally move to another world and with bully problems.
Zhenwei Wang performs a violented-kung fu bully fighter in a pretty convincent way, I mean, by looking into his eyes we can see he is nuts! But the one who shines over the others is Jackie Chan, not only know as the only chinese you can distinguish from the other chinese people, makes a very good Mr.
Han, it has its own methods to teach Dre (Jaden Smith) Kung Fu to defend himself, walking away from Pat Morita's Miyagi from the original film and kick-ass by its own. Ultimately, this Karate Kid is not better or worse than it's original, it's as good as the original and that is just awesome.
