Reading other reviews I was surprised to see critism of Jaden Smith. I found the film both believable and enthralling. OK, so I knew the ending but, for me, Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan as well as the setting in China kept my full attention throughout.
I was prepared to be critical of a remake of a classic film, but this is current and appealing to a new, young audience and the remake is completely justified.
