Review of The Karate Kid (2010) by Yelsew Z — 08 Jul 2014
The Karate Kid reboot was... hmm okay. It wasn't as solid and flushed out like the original was but I guess it was okay. For younger audience's it might seem like a awesome martial arts movie and would probably inspire a lot of young one's to start taking classes but to the older people that watched the original this doesn't do it justice.
To me, it feels like they took everything we loved about the original and just tried to do it in a different way. Don't get me wrong I know this is a reboot but the way they tried to recreate it felt awkward.
I just didn't feel the same accomplishment I felt when Daniel won the tournament in the original in comparison to when Dre won the tournament in the reboot. Overall, an okay reboot and an okay movie stand-alone.
