Review of The Jewel of the Nile (1985) by Julie G — 06 Jul 2008
It's true that it's not as good as the first for several reasons. The object their after isn't a valuable relic. A reasonable amount of realism is brought into to their romance-novel worthy relationship, and the ending gets a little ridiculous.
What made the first film entertaining to me was the puzzles leading up to the discovery of the gem. Here, there's no mystery except what is the Jewel of the Nile.
