Review of The Island (2006) by David S — 13 Nov 2010
It's really the only Michael Bay movie I've actually enjoyed. Armageddon is so good, but also ultra-depressing and intense. Transformers 2 put me off that whole franchise, and Pearl Harbor was created as too much a romantic drama to be taken seriously.
It's not a classy movie, it's quite simple, and there are many flaws. But it's well shot with a HUGE budget. Give it a try.
